Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services company sought to transition away from a leading commercial BI solution for one of its core products. To achieve significant savings in licensing costs, they aimed to migrate to an open-source system, specifically Apache Superset.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand their requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the reporting requirements for each report type. We also recommended specific changes to the data stores to ensure the best utilization of Superset and optimal performance, providing the implementation team with clear guidance on making these adjustments. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation, such as drill-down features.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client organization to maintain these dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client’s business unit and their end clients. To underscore the project’s success, it has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
