Training Skills
- Delivery of a pre-prepared training session on a topic chosen by the delegate, related to their work.
Note: The duration of each delegate's training session depends on the overall course length and the number of participants. Eight participants is the ideal group size.

Preparing a Training Session
- Key questions for the trainer to address in advance:
- Why should I lead this session?
- Logistics: what, where, when, how – and how long?
- Understanding how these answers influence the training session's structure
- Structuring the content:
- Research – gain deep knowledge of the subject
- Organize the content logically
- Create and use complementary visual aids
Preparing the Trainer
- A trainer's three fundamental communication tools:
- Verbal – the words used; avoid slang and jargon
- Vocal – the tone of voice; eliminate distracting verbal tics and filler sounds
- Visual – the presenter's appearance: attire, mannerisms, and presence
- Rehearse the training session and obtain honest feedback from a trusted source
- Manage and overcome nerves
Preparing the Environment
- Room layouts – and how they convey underlying messages to course attendees
- Using the physical space to enhance the training experience
- Properly tidying up after the course concludes
Evaluation
- The importance of evaluation
- Processes for obtaining and utilizing participant feedback
