SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise—learn the actions, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs—and become a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge about the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively fulfill their role.
Participants will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, split them into Features and Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. By the end of the course, participants will understand the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to effectively integrate into the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, and discover what is needed for the continuous improvement of the ART.
To fulfill the role of SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean enterprise
- Relate Lean-Agile principles and values to the PO/PM roles
- Work with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning
- Execute the Program Increment and deliver continuous value
- Describe the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager
- Create an action plan for their role

21 HoursThe PAQ certification program is a three-day, experiential exam preparation course designed to refine practical skills that participants can immediately apply in their workplace.
The exam consists of a 'hands-on' assessment. Candidates receive a product backlog release featuring user stories, related design documentation, and a 'multi-drop' application pre-loaded with defects. Participants will receive detailed instructions on the expectations for the practical assessment and the chance to produce the required work products. Each practical assessment includes one or two additional scenario-based questions requiring written responses (up to five questions in total) that evaluate a range of competencies. An independent assessor will grade both the product backlog release and the written answers. The assessment duration is 2.5 hours.
SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
